MeetSkip Review

MeetSkip is a random chat site that was founded in 2016 in order to provide a more perfect app to talk to strangers than the other existing websites provided. The creators of this application saw the many deficiencies in their competitors’ offerings, and carefully crafted a list of all the elements they wanted to change. This included things such as a more clean inviting design, cross-platform functionality, and the ability to share pictures during conversations. All of these issues were successfully addressed by the MeetSkip team resulting in a brilliant final product that puts other random chat rooms to shame. If you want to go ahead and give them a try right now give them a visit: Random Chat at MeetSkip.com.

While it is true that their app only offers a random text chat rather than also including video, this isn’t really a big deal these days. A lot of people are tired of the live video version due to the inevitable inappropriate users as well as the requirement of having to show your own self constantly live to random strangers. There is sort of a live video fatigue that many people feel, where they prefer to not have to continuously show themselves on camera. Thus, MeetSkip has come up with the perfect solution that also still allows users to show what they look like if they want to, which is the ability to share photos at your leisure. Even the almighty Omegle does not possess this capability, so even though it sounds simple enough, many similar sites either don’t have it or don’t have a perfectly working version of it. All issues have been worked out in the case of this app, and everything seems to work perfectly.

Finally, the creators of this service decided to add one last extra feature into the mix. This extra option is the use of built-in emoticons. At first you might think that you can already insert emotes anyway, but that’s only really true if you’re on a mobile device that has them readily available. And even then, what if they don’t show up properly to someone on another different type of device? The built-in emoji list helps solve these sorts of issues, and definitely a nice thing to have. Anyway, I think that about covers it, so stop reading and start chatting online!

RandomSkip Review

Hello there fellow chat site lover! It’s time for another Omegle similar site review, and this time we’re focusing on a really cool and popular site, Random Skip! This site offers the same options as Omegle, text-only and video, but then goes a step further by adding yet another option, which they call “group chat”. What is this “group chat” you ask? Well, it’s basically the same thing as a regular old fashioned chat room, the kind where everyone can talk to everyone else in the room, instead of just a one-on-one situation. Anyway, as great as that is, that’s not going to be the main focus of this review. The main focus of this review is going to be the part of the site that sets them apart from everyone else, which is the random text chat with strangers page: https://www.randomskip.com/omegle.

So, at first you might be wondering why I would focus on the text-only page instead of video? Aren’t we passed the time when text was cool? No actually, we’re not! Texting without a live cam feed is still as popular as ever whether people are on Facebook or their phones. Not everyone wants to broadcast themselves live all the time, it’s kind of eliminates your privacy, and people definitely still value their privacy. This being the case, the random text chat is still being used a ton! The key point here though, is that RandomSkip.com has gone above and beyond everyone else by adding in some awesome extra features that make the entire experience soooo much better for everyone. There is one addition in particular that makes a massive difference when you are in the midst of a great conversation with a newly found friend: image sharing.

The photo sending feature that they have added is perfect. It’s super easy to use, and you actually only have to upload each picture once per time you visit the site. So, if you visit their website and upload a picture, you can then re-use that pic over and over in every new chatting session you have for the duration of your visit! Then, once you leave, the images you uploaded are deleted. It’s a great system that allows you to share visuals but at the same time retain privacy, and I absolutely love it – I’m sure you will too. I was getting super tired of having to go to another website to upload my photos and then copy and paste the links into my discussions. Now, finally, my problem is solved, and everything is just sooooo much more convenient. I hope you guys find this as helpful as I have.

Sites Like Tagged

Odds are if you’re on this page now, you are either a pretty big fan of Tagged, or you used to be a big fan of Tagged and although you still like the concept, you just need a fresh new group of people and something a little bit different. We get it! We’ve been there, we’ve done that, and it happens with almost every site you use that involves meeting new people – it’s just the way it is! Okay, maybe not, I’m sure there are plenty of die hard users that stay on for the long haul, but regardless, if you’re here now you obviously are interested in finding many more sites like Tagged, and our job is quite simply to help you with your quest, so I will stop with my conjecturing and get on with it. Check out our awesome list:

1. Meetzur – This relatively new gem of a website brings casual to a whole new level. How? Well, when you call yourself a “meet a stranger social network”, I think that speaks for itself. Remember when your mom told you not to talk to strangers? This social app encourages you to talk to them! Because of that, everyone expects you to chat with them, which makes it super easy to make new friends. It’s awesome! Don’t forget to read our full review.

2. Badoo – This is a super popular social network with one goal – to help you meet people nearby! The name is kind of funky, but don’t be fooled, it works, and quite well at that. The only thing is that in some countries it has a large presence and in some countries its presence can be rather small so you’ll really just have to give it a try and hope your country is well represented. Click here to read our full opinion.

3. POF – This well known free online dating site does its job quite well indeed. The site is quite simple, but it contains all the basics for meeting and communication, and has a fast loading time. I’m not sure that extravagance is really necessary to have a successful app, and this is one such example. Find out more by clicking here.

4. OkCupid – This popular free online dating website is second to only POF in its category in terms of active users, but it is far different in the sense that it makes things much more complicated. Using it’s own self-developed algorithmic matching system, the site attempts to help users better determine if another user is likely to be a good match. You can also check out our complete review.

5. Datehookup – Founded back in 2002, this third free dating app has been around the block. It has everything you need to succeed, but literally nothing more. Don’t be fooled by the old school look though, because if you live in the USA it has a whole lot of potential matches for you. Click here for our lengthier insights.

Sites Like Badoo

If you’re as big of a fan of Badoo as we are, you probably also are wondering if there are any other similar options out there. After all, one site only has a limited number of people, and often times you will find new people in other alternative sites that weren’t in the original. Thus, we bring you a great list of sites like Badoo that should prove very helpful to you getting the most our of your internet experience with regards to meeting new people online! And, here we go:

1. Meetzur – This is a newer player in the “social encounters” niche that looks very promising and really has no specific limitations on what a user’s motive has to be when they join. As such, you find a very casual and friendly environment that is a nice breath of fresh air, where you can make new friends very quickly and easily. Click here for our full review.

2. Tagged – This site describes itself as “the social network for meeting new people”, and that’s exactly what it is. It has a big user base, social games that basically function as icebreakers, and some other cool aspects. Read our complete review by clicking here.

3. POF – Short for “Plenty of Fish”, this is the most popular free online dating website we know of. It is easy to use, simple, and gets the job done. However, it doesn’t have the more casual and social aspects of the two sites we already mentioned, which often times makes it feel a bit too rigid. See our full opinion here.

4. OkCupid – This is the second most popular free online dating website we are aware of. It utilizes it’s own proprietary matching algorithm to give users a match percentage with regards to every other individual user. This is unique and somewhat interesting, although I often wonder about how effective it actually is. Click here for our longer analysis.

5. DateHookup – This old dinosaur of a dating site continues to grow despite not getting a desperately needed face lift. It does, however, get the job done, and maybe that’s all that really matters. Read our full take by clicking here.

Meetzur Review

Meetzur is actually an offshoot of the popular chat site iMeetzu. Originally they were combined in the same website, but over time the combination of the two on the same domain name started making less and less sense in different ways, and so the owners went ahead and separated the social network, put it on its own domain, and Meetzur.com was born. Thus, it is a very unique community full of people who are ready and willing to meet new people every day! You see, the motto of the chat site was always to “Meet a Stranger”, and this motto carries over to the social network, where you can connect with “strangers” from all over the world, and that is exactly what everyone who joins does and expects all other members to do. This being the case, you find yourself immediately thrown into a really quite friendly world of new people right from the beginning!

Thus, what you end up with is a very casual environment for making new friends online, or, if you want, finding new people nearby, and if you should so choose, even utilizing the site as another free online dating option. However, because there is no sort of formal designation as to what the site has to be used for, each user is left to essentially decide for themselves how they want to use it. If a user merely wants to meet someone from a culture on the other side of the world and discuss the differences between their two very different worlds of every day life, they can do that. If a user wants to meet someone with similar interests such as online gaming, and then recruit them to join a gaming group or clan or whatever it may be, they can do that. The possibilities are truly unlimited, and that in itself is a big part of what makes Meetzur so great. Visit them at www.meetzur.com.

DateHookup Review

This is one of the more popular free online dating sites in the USA although it is still a pretty distant third behind POF and OkCupid. DateHookup’s user base is primarily composed of United States visitors, but it also has decent followings in other English-speaking countries such as Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and South Africa. The site itself looks rather old in terms of its layout and the general feel of it, and it is. The layout has been virtually unchanged as far back as I can remember, and the site was launched clear back in 2002! Granted, I wasn’t really paying attention to dating sites way back then, but at least over the last few years I have seen no changes whatsoever.

The site basically contains the bare bones necessities that allow you to do what you need to do: find people nearby, and communicate with them. I’m guessing the owner has taken to the well known saying, “if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it”. And, looking at the Datehookup.com Alexa ranking tells the story of the site definitely not being broken, and actually continuing to grow over time despite an ancient look, maybe you could even classify it as Web 1.0. That’s right, a Web 1.0 style site continuing to find success in a Web 2.0 world. I’m not sure if I should be surprised or not really – I suppose that if the site does what it says it does, is easy to use, and gets the job done, the design and feature set quite possibly need not be changed. Only time will tell, but in the meantime make sure you check this site out at www.datehookup.com.

Tagged Review

Tagged is the self-proclaimed “social network for meeting new people”. It is very popular with over 300 million registered users, but seems to have slightly less active users than its major competitor Badoo based on the fact that it has a lower Alexa ranking (probably gets less visitors on a monthly basis). Many people call the niche in which Tagged exists the “social encounters” niche. The niche seems to have taken hold, at least in the case of this site, as a way to save itself when Facebook became the dominant player in terms of keeping in touch with people you already know. It was a logical and smart direction to go in that would allow the site to avoid a slow and painful death, and it seems to have worked.

The site has a lot more features than Badoo does, such as their own social games platform, and users are encouraged to meet new people while they play. This, in conjunction with many of the usual social networking features, has contributed to the sites great success. The average active user on Tagged is said to spend about 2 minutes more using the Tagged website than using Facebook, which is quite remarkable. I would guess that the prospect of meeting new people is somewhat more exciting, which likely contributes to this phenomenon. When you can also potentially utilize the site for free online dating purposes, that also likely adds to the addiction. It would seem to me that playing online games with someone could definitely be a more casual and fun way to “break the ice”. If all this sounds good, check the site out at www.tagged.com.
